Weather forecast for Tuesday evening, December 11, 2018:
Inversions remain locked in place tonight with more bad air in the valleys of northern Utah. An inversion buster will move in tomorrow morning! Snow will move into the northern Wasatch Front around 5-7AM. Snow is expected across the southern Wasatch Front by 8-9AM. A quick burst of snow could have a big impact on your commute, especially north of Utah County. Something to remember with this storm is that the inversion that has been locked in place for the last 9 days has kept the road surfaces in the 30s. So when this snow rolls in tomorrow morning it will stick right away, not much melting will occur. Valleys will see 1-3" and mountains 6-12".
Wasatch Front Forecast:
Tonight: Very hazy with low cloud deck in place. Lows around 30.
Wednesday: Snow for the first half of the day and gusty. 1-4" expected along the Wasatch Front Valleys. Highs in the upper 30s.
Thursday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the mid-30s.
Friday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 30s.
Saturday: Partly cloudy skies. Highs in the low-40s.
