Jazz win 9th in a row in Portland, Jae Crowder makes debut

(KUTV) - New addition Jae Crowder made an immediate impact in his debut with the Utah Jazz, who beat Portland on the road 115-96.

Crowder had 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal in his debut as a Jazzman.

The Jazz played without point guard Ricky Rubio who has a sore hip.

Joe Ingles continued his hot hand with 24 points, including going 6-9 from 3-point territory along with 4 assists and 5 rebounds. Ingles scored a career-high for the second game in a row. He had 23 points against Charlotte on Friday.

Rookie of the Year candidate Donovan Mitchell threw in 27 points with 6 boards and 2 assists.

Weber State grad Damian Lillard was Portland's lone bright spot with 39 points on 12-25 shooting.

Royce O'Neale made his first career start for the Jazz and had 4 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists.

The Jazz take their NBA-best 9-game winning streak back to Salt Lake City to face San Antonio on Monday.
