MINERSVILLE, Pa. (WKRC) - A California man said guilt was the reason he decided to pay up on a parking ticket received in Pennsylvania over 40 years ago, according to a story by WNEP.
The man sent in $5 to cover the cost of a $2 parking ticket issued in 1974.
The envelope was addressed to the police department with the return address of "feeling guilty, Wayward Road, Anytown, Ca."
A note inside read: "Dear PD. I've been carrying this ticket around for 40 plus years, always intending to pay. Forgive me if I don't give you my info. With respect, Dave."
The police chief says he'd like to track down the person who paid the ticket to say thank you and chat.
