Two sets of human remains found in desert near Utah-Arizona border

(KUTV) — Two sets of human remains found near Utah's border with Arizona have yet to be identified, the Mohave County Sheriff's Office says.

The remains were discovered on Monday, when they sheriff's office dispatch received a tip, a press release stated.

An FBI evidence team assisted Mohave County in investigating the scene, which was an ongoing process from Monday through Thursday.

Evidence located at the site, in the desert near the Virgin River Gorge in the Arizona Strip area, was sent to the FBI's Crime Lab to determine the identities of the remains found.

The investigation is ongoing.
