    UPDATE: A 15-year-old boy has been booked in juvenile detention after the West Valley shooting that killed 1, injured 2 Tuesday afternoon.

    (KUTV) - Police are looking for the suspect or suspects who shot three people, killing one of them after a verbal confrontation at an apartment complex at 3500 S. Parkway Boulevard in West Valley City.

    Police say the shooting broke out around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday.

    Neighbors tell us the victims, in this case, argued with people who live across the parking lot of the apartment complex.

    Joe Manzanarez says he watched as his friend had a verbal altercation with neighbors, “my buddy got out of his car started arguing with them and I had just walked out of my garage and they just startled shooting,” says Manzanarez.

    Kiara, who did not want to reveal her last name, says she is related to the victims in the shooting. Her uncle was killed, her 17-year brother injured.

    She says police suspect neighbors across the street, who she says, was affable, and she has, in the past shared a friendly smoke with them, “it was like no bad blood it’s like shocking like why would he do that,” said Kiara.

    Police do not have a description of the suspects and have not released the names of the victims.
