(KUTV) — Police believe a home was wrongfully targeted in a drive by shooting Friday morning that left 47-year-old Wanyun Judd dead.

Judd was shot in her home at 54 East Harrison Ave. in Salt Lake. She was transported to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.

"Salt Lake City Police believe that the home of the victim in this case was incorrectly targeted by suspects," a press release from the Salt Lake City Police Department stated.

Police asked anyone with information that could aid in their investigation of the "errant gunshots" that killed Judd to come forward.
