Panguitch Lake closed due to toxic algae bloom

(KUTV) -- The Southwest Utah Public Health Department has issued a new toxic algae warning for Panguitch Lake.

The Danger Advisory and closure being issued due to extremely high toxin levels in the lake, according to the Utah DEQ.

This is caused by a cyanobacteria bloom.

Closure signs will be posted Monday.
