(KUTV) — March For Our Lives, in an event cancelled by Larry H. Miller Megaplex Theaters, announced its town hall meeting is at Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy, Utah.

The Saturday event is taking place Saturday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and features students who survived the Valentine's Day school shooting in Florida.

"We are very excited and overwhelmingly grateful to our community for coming together to assist and support us throughout this process," stated March For Our Lives SLC in a press release.

The event is free with ticketing for priority seating. There are approximately priority seating tickets that allow early entry into the event at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets secured for the event at Megaplex Theaters at The District are still valid for the event.

The grassroots organization also stated that the event would be gun free and thanked the Utah Gun Exchange for its offers to host but said despite their offer for extra security, they wanted a gun-free event.

Tickets are available on Eventbrite.

The group states that it wanted to hold the event in Utah's Congressional District 4, represented by Rep. Mia Love. The group said she is historically a leading recipient of donations from gun lobbyists, including taking over $63,000 during the 2016 election cycle. It linked to's gun lobby page for reference.
