(KUTV) – Emergency crews in Layton are responding to a gas leak that has forced temporary street closures.

Both directions of Gentile Street between Angel Street and Flint street are closed.

Crews recommend Layton Parkway and Hillfield Road as alternative routes.

Layton Fire officials said crews in the area discovered the leak around 2:30 p.m. Emergency responder were working to find the origin of the leak and did not have an estimated time for the road to re-open.
