2 families displaced by North Salt Lake fire
(KUTV) Four homes were damaged, two destroyed, by fire that spread Sunday in North Salt Lake.
Fire officials said everyone was able to get out of the impacted homes safely and no injuries were reported. Four people are staying with loved one while investigators try to figure out what started the backyard blaze.
"When we arrived, two houses were on fire. Luckily, everyone occupying those homes were able to exit without being injured. So that's a good note here," chief Jeff Basset with South Davis Metro Fire said.
It is believed the fire started in a shed, but the investigation will continue. Two engines responded to the fire.
Two of the homes suffered minor exterior damage from the blaze that started around 5 p.m. There was no word on what was suspected to be the cause of the fire at its origin at 877 Cambridge Drive.
