(KUTV) Anonyome Labs CEO Steve Shillingford says the internet is "fundamentally broken."

He remembers when he could search the internet in four hours, and never have to give out personal information. It's definitely a different situation now.

"There's all these requirements. And it's all been consolidated with this kind of oligarchy of very powerful companies," he said.

That has slowly happened over time, but Shillingford believes the internet will be vastly different in 10 years.

"We're seeing a world that's transforming," he said. "There's a movement away from centralized authority and centralized control to de-centralization."
