(KUTV) Bishop Oscar Solis felt a mixture of apprehension and excitement coming to Utah from his post in Los Angeles.
He also knew it could be challenging.
"Most of the places I have been to are predominately Catholic, but here we are a minority," he said. "However, it is not a question of whether you are a minority or majority. The point is that it is so nice to do what I love doing--proclaiming the word of God. leading people to get closer to God to get to know him better."
Doing God's work and helping people know they are loved give Solis happiness and fulfillment.
"I think we need to say it more often," Solis is of letting people know God loves them.
"We have somehow pushed God away from our society, from our culture," he said.
