(KUTV) Sam & Jo Brady love to dance at Just Dance studio in Magna.

"You just let everything out," said Jo, who is 10 years old.

The dance studio and the pair of sisters are getting ready to perform at an upcoming dance battle, put on by the Brady sisters.

"Battling for Kids" aims to raise money for a child in need.

"We want those people to feel better, so why not incorporate dance, right?" said Sam Brady, who just turned 14.

The girls put on events like this every year in celebration of their birthdays--instead of throwing their own birthday parties.

"Instead of somebody bringing presents for us, they bring donations," explained Sam.

The girls don't mind sharing their celebrations with other kids.

"'Cause I know that everything's going to someone that really needs it," said Jo.

This will be the second year for the dance battle, but they've been doing these acts of kindness for the past nine years.

"It feels good to help someone," said Jo.

In the past, they've donated Build-a-Bears to Primary Children's Hospital and raised money for family and friends suffering from cancer or other diseases.

"People need help, and so, why not?" said Sam.

One year, they raised money for their friend Lanee Nawrocki, who dances with them. She battled acute lymphoblastic leukemia several years ago.

"I know there were some things I wouldn't have been able to do without that money," said Nawrocki.

100% of the proceeds of this year's Battling for Kids dance battle will go to 5-year-old Penny, who has brain cancer. Millie's Princess Foundation will match what they raise up to $5,000.

"They're going to do a lot of good in this world," said Laurie Brady, mom to the two charitable sisters. "I can't describe the pride that I have that my little girls care more about others than they do themselves."

Mountain America Credit Union donated $500 to Sam & Jo's Battling for Kids.

Anyone is welcome to attend the dance battle. It is Saturday, October 28th from 12pm-6pm.

It will be held at Rocky Mountain Raceways, located at 6555 2100 South in West Valley.

Admission is $10 to go and watch the dancing. That money would also cover the cost to battle if you wish.
