Looking to cool off with a healthy smoothie? Change out any of the ingredients to customize a special smoothie that “smooths” the summer heat.
3 cups diced cantaloupe
1 small cucumber, peeled and coarsely chopped
1/2 cup plain, fat-free Greek yogurt
1/2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
2 tbsp fresh basil, coarsely chopped
1 tbsp freshly chopped mint
2 tsp extra virgin olive oil,
1/4 tsp white wine vinegar
pinch of cayenne (for garnish)
1) Place all of the ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth.
2) Pour into a large pitcher or individual glasses and lightly sprinkle the top with cayenne pepper for a little heat. Serve and Enjoy!
