Brónagh Tumulty joined the KUTV team in October 2017. You can catch her weeknights on 2News at 10.
Prior to arriving here, she was a reporter at News 12 in New York, covering stories around the tri-state area, including the 2016 Presidential Election, the Chelsea bombing and travel ban protests across Manhattan.
But, if you've heard her on television, you'll know she's not from around here.
Brónagh was born and raised in Ireland. She immigrated to America in 2013 and worked as a producer for CBS in Dallas, Texas. Before that, she was a radio reporter/anchor in Ireland. She has also worked with the national broadcaster there, RTÉ, as well as with the BBC in the UK.
She went to college in England, graduating from the University of Sheffield with a master's degree in Broadcast Journalism. But Brónagh didn't always know that she wanted to be a journalist. After attaining a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Liverpool, she decided she wanted to travel. She moved to South Korea, then Argentina, teaching English along the way. She loved meeting other people on her travels and hearing their stories. Eventually, she decided journalism was the right path for her.
Brónagh lives in Salt Lake City and is thrilled to now have a chance to tell stories for the people of Utah.
